What is the safety area, and what you can do in the safety area. Also when you can handle your gun, and the condition your gun must be in when not shooting. I.E. mag. well empty and hammer down.

The 180 rule, finger in trigger rule, sweeping rule

Walk through range commands, finger warning, muzzle warning, stop command.
Range Work

Working with range commands, draw and engage target with 2 rounds. After shooter is comfortable with this course of fire.

Working with range commands, draw and engage target with 2 rounds change mag, engage target with 2 rounds. If shooter is able to do this safely.

Working with range commands, draw and engage target with 2 rounds, move to next shooting location reengage target with 2 rounds. If shooter is able to do this safely.

Working with range commands, draw and engage target with 2 rounds, change mag, move to next shooting location and engage target with 2 rounds.

If the shooter is able to complete the 4 shooting drills safely and was able to prove safe gun handling skills, then the new shooter will shoot with Safety Officer for the rest of the night. On the course of fire we will talk about safety and how to help reset the course of fire.
